Our work focuses on keeping children safe and equipping them with the knowledge, information, skills and tools to reduce the risk of abuse. We are working in Early Years Settings, Primary and Secondary Schools and Universities.
We are working alongside Women’s Aid supporting schools to deliver sessions on safe and healthy relationships, which is the key to preventing child sexual abuse and child sexual exploitation.
Our work with schools is cited in a recent report (Joint targeted area inspection of multi agency response to children living with domestic abuse in Salford Oct 2016) and more recently in the Government commissioned report by Ann Coffey MP (Real Voices – Are they being heard?, March 2017) Our work in Universities is also recognised as good practice reducing the number of young people experiencing abusive intimate relationships. Working in partnership with Salford Women’s Aid we have reached out to different communities across Greater Manchester to dispel the myths about domestic abuse and encourage neighbourhoods to come forward and report domestic abuse crimes.
